new work by David Moré and Ryan Fenchel

Ryan Fenchel
Master Ashler
"Eloquent in its silence, inspiring in its majesty, divine in its simplicity, the Great Pyramid is indeed a sermon in stone. Among the sands of time it stands as a fitting emblem of eternity itself. The cemetery is an open space among the ruins, covered in winter with violets and daisies. It might make one in love with death, to think that one should be buried in so sweet a place. It is this significant fact, that Alchemy is a life's work, which provides our spagyric art with such an armor, and will be accepted by only those who have spent months and years behind books and retorts."
-Manly P Hall, Percy Shelly, Frater Albertus

and

David Moré
THIS MEANS SOMETHING!
Close encounters with Barbra Streisand
An installation exploring the connections, both actual and manufactured, between the Close Encounters of the Third Kind soundtrack, and a Barbra Streisand 8-Track.

The Vega Caucus

Please join us for our first show of the season, The Vega Caucus, curated by Vega Estates organizers Roxane Hopper and Julie Rudder. The Vega Caucus responds to submissions from Chicago area artists by recontextualizing the works using story and external elements and also as a framework for social space. The space becomes a facilitator of conversation between interested parties, possibly erupting into a "raucous caucus".
